In May 2011 my 14 year old German Shepherd Coco began to fall down. My family helped me ensure she was never left alone. I contacted Dr. Dressel and we talked about how to proceed. We decided to give her some time to see if she improved. Coco hated going in the car and I didn't want to stress her out anymore. About a month went by and she did not get better so I decided it was time to make the decision to let her go. I contacted Dr. Dressel and we made a plan for her and a nurse to come to my home 2 towns away to end her pain in her own surroundings so the car would not be her last memory. Dr. Dressel came and examined her to assure me I made the right choice for Coco. We played with her for a few minutes and took her to a quiet place, put on some soft music, Coco just lay down as if she was saying it's ok I am ready. Dr. Dressel waited patiently until I was ready saying what I had to say hugging my girl, kissing her, singing to her, thanking her and then she was gone. We were ALL crying and the hug that I got from her was so sincere I will never forget it. Please consider her for she is an animal angel and one of the best humans I have ever met in my life.
