He is always caring, interested in my dog, takes very adequate time evaluating my dogs health, listening to anything I want to discuss and never pushes unnecessary medications, procedures, tests, etc. He takes time to explain in understandable language every thing going on with my dog. He definately makes me feel that he is invested in the best care of my dog.

Dr. Thompson is up-to-date on the latest and greatest in diagnostic and treatment options. She is also concerned about my dog having a good experience at the vet! In the past, Penny has gotten really stressed when at the vet, to the point of trembling. Anti-anxiety medicine helps, but it doesn't completely solve the problem. Dr. Thompson came up with the idea of examining Penny outside, and she did great! She even had blood drawn. No trembling, no trauma. It was great! I'm so grateful for such a positive experience for my sweet girl. And even happier that she is finally on the road to feeling and looking better from her allergies!!

Dr Batts works at Needham Animal Hospital in Wilmington, NC. He is the most phenomenal vet we have had the pleasure of going to, he is simply the greatest! We have been going to Needham since we got Frannie (she was 3 month old). Our English bulldog will be 2 in August 2012 and we would not trade vets. Dr Batts is thorough and takes his time with her, and us. He explains everything carefully and never seems rushed while we are in his room. Lately we went to him when Frannie woke up one morning and could not walk and her knee was swollen bigger than the size of a tennis ball. After a month of tests and x-rays Dr Batts determined the cause - she had an infection in her knee joint fluid. Since then she has been in his care for 3 months – getting better and ultimately had to have surgery. Dr Batts calls at night to check on her (after hospital hours) and is diligent in his follow up. He is thoughtful, caring and loving. He treats Frannie with kid gloves as if she was a real baby, and not just our baby. Currently Frannie is on the mend and is completing physical therapy. After 4 weeks since surgery you can barely see the incision from it (she had 18 stitches) and she is doing remarkably well. We love Dr Batts and the entire staff at Needham Animal Hospital. I cannot say enough about
