My dog Kodak had a seizure at 6am one morning and my vet opens at 8am. It was 7am when I called them. I asked them if I should take Kodak to emergency hospital which was about 45 minutes away. My vet is 10 minutes away. They told me if I could be there at the vets office at 8am when Dr. Bailey arrived, she would examine Kodak. Dr. Bailey went above and beyond and took us as her first patient. She kept Kodak to monitor him and offered to consult with a neurologist for next steps. She later called me and said it would be best if I took him to the neurologist asap to consult with her for next steps. Kodak ended up getting an MRI, found to have swelling on the brain and spent the night at the animal hospital. Dr. Bailey followed up with me afterwards and wanted to know how Kodak was doing. She has suggestions on next steps. She is very compassionate and caring and knowing my dog is in her care is very comforting.
