We were a family of five, two dogs, both adopted from shelters, our son, and us. Recently, our county opened a new shelter for the animals and we decided to foster pups to help the shelter and to help our dogs get along better with other dogs.The first pup we fostered was named Piper, we had her for eight days and received the call that a family in Michigan wanted her. We took her back to the shelter and met her new parents. I have since called them to check on her. We decided to wait a week or so to foster another, when we did the shelter had several puppies to choose from, my boyfriend decided on which one we would foster. Her name at the shelter was Mela, and we took her home. She was about six weeks old at the time and so adorable. She was with us for about four days when one morning she woke up and ate her breakfast, played with the dogs for awhile and then took a nap. Typically behavior for a pup. But when she woke up she did not want to eat or drink anything, she laid down for her first of many naps that day at 8 am. By noon she had diarrhea pretty bad, at this point we called our local and family vet, Fulton County Vet, Dr. Dan.It just so happened it was Dr. Dan's day off and he
