I had a rescue Jack Russell Terrier (mixed breed)who continued biting and biting me and attacking my fiancé. After having my JR trained twice without success (biting not only continued but became more vicious), upon the suggestion of the behavior specialist and Dr. Madge, I decided to put my JR to sleep. I sobbed and sobbed. Dr. Madge's office sent out a condolence letter and Dr. Madge wrote a special note telling me how much they all loved Voetsek (my JR) and knew how sad and hard this was for me (I'd had him about 3 1/2 years). About a week later, Dr. Madge offered me their Jack Russell Fiona (who was great with people and especially children, as by this time I was terrified of most dogs). Dr. Madge Smith's gift of Fiona was a Godsend as my fiancé is in later stages of metastatic bone cancer and I was grief stricken losing my dog Voetsek. Smith Vet's entire office has rejoiced with me in having Fiona and bringing happiness back into my life. Who could have a better Vet and Vet family than this! Jane Neal

dr pagan is the most dedicated vet. I can remember getting a phone call at 11:00 p.m. about my dog. scared me to death but he was letting me know everything was going good. My second dog had heartworm and had at that time to have the arsenic injections. I asked him why so late and he simply said I work until my work is done. I have recommended more people, even strangers to him. He is one in a million.
