Dr. David Fenoglio of the Augusta Animal Clinic is great vet who cares deeply about his four-legged patients and their human companions. He has saved the lives of my two previous cats on several occasions. One of my cats had cancer twice, and through his care, she survived and lived a long, happy life. During her last illness, he showed her (and my husband and me) the utmost compassion when that terrible day came to have her euthanized. He came to our home so she could spend her last moments on our bed looking out the window at birds instead of being traumatized by a vet visit. Recently, my cat, Jackson, walked across a flat top stove and seriously burned his paw. We rushed him to Dr. Dave’s office, and he immediately treated him. His paw healed nicely and he is doing fine. Dr. Dave is not only a great vet but practices philanthropy in its purest form by giving back to the community in a quiet, unassuming way. He has taken in unwanted pets (several with special needs), has found homes for others and has loaned equipment to other vets. One of his most commendable projects is caring for the pets at a local nursing facility which has brought delight to hundreds of residents. Having had a mother in a nursing facility, I know how much delight pets bring to the elderly.
