Dr. Payton is a modern day James Herriot. He has both a small and large animal practice, and some days a week travels in a mobile van to treat farm animals. Several years ago, I had a very large yellow lab (over 100 lbs.) who was nearing his end. Because I am single and getting older, I could not lift my dog to get him to the veterinary office for treatment while he was sick. Dr. Payton came in his van to my house, and gave my dog an ultrasound and xray right on my kitchen floor. Because his end was near, and he realized my inability to move my dog myself, he gave me his home phone number to call at home should my dog go into distress in the middle of the night with me potentially not being able to find anyone to help me move him to the emergency vet. When my dog's time finally came to an end, he came to my home and peacefully euthanized him in his loving home environment instead of in a cold office setting. After my dog died, he told me of his own dog, a black lab puppy, which was a rescued 3 legged amputee. This inspired me to have the courage to adopt my own 3 legged rescued yellow lab Marley. Marley has also since passed on, but Marley's photo hangs still today in Dr. Payton's office. Without Dr. Payton, Marley might never have found a loving home.

When Harry need his eyes removed my fb family set up the fund raiser to pay for the eye removal .And my vet office help them set this up to make Harry pain free . They let money come in from all over the US and the worked with us all . Now my boy is pain free and I will not take him to a new vet office at all . They are very carrying to him . The one thing I love the most is they love on him .my works with hope for all they sure did for us with love Cindy
