Pet’s Best Annual Contest, My Vet’s the Best, names Dr. Brent Brewer as 2018 grand prize winner.

Pets Best Insurance Services, LLC, a leading U.S. pet insurance agency based in Boise, Idaho, is pleased to announce veterinarian Dr. Brent Brewer as the 2018 grand prize winner of its most recent “My Vet’s the Best” contest.
“In our eighth year hosting our nationwide contest, each nominee showed how truly exceptional and dedicated the veterinarians in their field are,” said Chris Middleton, President of Pets Best. “Dr. Brewer is no exception and we are thrilled to be recognizing such a devoted veterinarian looking to give back to his community.”
The 2018 grand prize finalists were determined by votes cast by pet owners through the
Pets Best Facebook page. Ranging from California to New York, this year’s contest had many outstanding finalists from across the United States. Dr. Brewer, who practices at Stone Creek Veterinary Hospital in Forney, Texas, won the My Vet’s the Best grand prize after being selected by an internal review panel.
As the grand prize winner of the My Vet’s the Best contest, Dr. Brewer received $1,000 from Pets Best to help treat animals in need in his community.
Dr. Brewer first graduated from the University of California, San Diego before heading across the pond to earn his veterinary degree from the Royal Veterinary College at the University of London in 2011. After beginning his professional career in the Dallas metroplex, Dr. Brewer joined Stone Creek just prior to the grand opening in 2017.
In an effort to play a greater role in their community, Dr. Brewer and the Stone Creek Veterinary Hospital have partnered with the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center to help care for their educational birds of prey and rehabilitation patients. Because of the specialization and complexity of this field, they require special equipment, medications, and supplies which has encouraged Dr. Brewer to contribute his grand prize winnings to help properly care for these majestic creatures.
Since 2010, Pets Best has recognized outstanding veterinarians like Dr. Brewer through its My Vet’s the Best Contest.
